 My passion for knives was born at some point in my early adolescence. At the time I was reading a lot of adventure novels where the heroes were knights, musketeers, trappers and corsairs. We all know that the lives of these rough and courageous men would be unthinkable without COLD STEEL. I made my first knife when I was about 20. This was in the beginning of the 80s. Every following knife became better and better than the previous one. Then I understood that this is the kind of work that revitalizes me and makes me feel complete. It allowed me to show the full strength of my skill and experience.
I have always strived to make unique objects. In every knife I include a piece of my soul and heart.
Manufacturing a knife is not an easy job and requires the mastery of many crafts. One should be at the same time a blacksmith, a mechanic, a wood carver, an etcher, a painter, a leather-worker and others. Despite the burden of this craft, it brings me pleasure and I would never exchange it for another. I hope that everybody who see these knives and touches them will feel the love with which they were produced. |
